Who we are

This website and its courses are run independently by Lawrence Damasio, 1270 Stevens Street, Lake Helen, FL 32744. The website is not operated by the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association.

What we collect

• Newsletter signups. Your email address, and your first name if you give it. When you sign up, the time is recorded, and again when you confirm.
• Course accounts. If you study with us, the learning site at learn.33damasio.com holds your name, email address, login, course progress, quiz results, your final exam result, and the certificate of completion you receive when you pass the final exam.
• Emails you send us. Messages to our support address are kept in our mailbox.
• Technical information. Our server keeps security logs, which can include IP addresses, for up to 30 days.

This website does not currently accept payments.

How we use it

• To send the newsletter you asked for.
• To give you access to your courses and issue your certificates.
• To answer your messages.
• To keep our systems secure and working.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

The newsletter

You only receive the newsletter after you confirm your address through the link we email you. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.

We do not track which subscribers open the newsletter or click its links. We only see totals.

If an email to you bounces or is marked as spam, we stop sending to that address.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or analytics. The learning site uses a session cookie that keeps you signed in; it is needed for the courses to work.

Because we do not track you across other websites, we do not change anything in response to a browser’s “Do Not Track” signal.

Who processes it for us

• OVHcloud hosts our server in the United States. The newsletter list and the learning site run on that server, not on a third-party mailing service.
• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) delivers our emails.
• Zoho Mail hosts our support mailbox.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Course accounts: until you ask us to delete yours, so you can always return to your certificates.
• Backups: our server keeps encrypted backups for 30 days, and an encrypted copy kept off the server is deleted after 90 days.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can also email support@33damasio.com to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.

Children

Our courses and newsletter are for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
